This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home.  This position in Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group will offer you the ability to directly apply your knowledge of protective relaying and controls systems for HV and EHV substations. This position will offer you the opportunity to utilize and expand your academic background in Electrical Engineering in a professional position that offers a wide range of interesting and challenging responsibilities.  The opportunity will have you teaming up with other engineers and designers involved in nuclear plant electrical systems betterment and associated modifications, which will include the following:- Electrical systems design- Preparation of complex calculations- Load flow and short circuit- Power flow- System Impact- Cable ampacity- Preparation of documented design inputs- Preparation of equipment and material specifications- Preparation of design reportsAdditional opportunities will include:- Receive training and mentorship from experienced engineers in the execution of meaningful project engineering assignments- Become involved in power distribution designs and the preparation of specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services- Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs
