Our mission is to help clients achieve their energy goals effectively by leveraging advanced technologies and adopting sustainable practices.

We are seeking a motivated Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field graduate to join our IT Infrastructure team as a packaging, application administration and support team. The engineer will assist with the packaging and deployment of software applications to end-user laptops, contribute to the application inventory process, and support ongoing application rationalization efforts, licensing, administration and support of various design and engineering applications. This role provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in enterprise software deployment and IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the current software application packaging and deployment process for all the key engineering and other business applications.
  • Assist in packaging applications using tools such as SCCM, Intune, or other deployment solutions.
  • Deploy and test applications on user machines, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of existing applications across the organization.
  • Help identify and document redundant or outdated applications as part of rationalization efforts.
  • Collaborate with the IT support and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot deployment issues including escalation to vendors, infrastructure, security, and SMEs when needed.
  • Support end user issues and requests for engineering applications like Autodesk, Bentley/OpenPlant/ProjectWise/Plantsight, PLADES/xPLADES, ETAP, SmartPlant, ESRI, ACC, Vault, CEII, VDI, and licensing.
  • Administer and maintain platforms and environments such as projects, reference data, catalogs, workspaces, user permissions, and server/licensing components.
  • Perform routine operational checks on key systems and licensing infrastructure and respond to outages or failures.
  • Create and maintain documentation for packaging and deployment procedures.
  • Support general IT tasks as needed, with a focus on automation and process improvement.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in our downtown Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and software deployment concepts.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
  • Exposure to application packaging tools (e.g., MSIX, MSI, App-V).
  • Experience using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) or SCCM.
  • Understanding of software inventory tools and methods.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell is a plus.

We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
