    Sargent and Lundy is seeking an ambitious Electrical Designer with an eye for detail who is ready to jump into their next challenge.

     

    Responsibilities

    • This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment on challenging and highly rewarding design projects for new generation power plants and upgrades and modifications to existing nuclear power plant systems
    • Under the direction of the Electrical Project Lead, you will work with multi-disciplined engineering and design project teams in the development of the following:
      • Wiring diagrams
      • Wiring functional diagrams (single line, elementary)
      • Conduit routing drawings
      • Underground electrical drawings
      • Cable routing drawings/tabulations
      • Bills of material
    • In addition, you will also have the opportunity to conduct field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities

    Qualifications

    Essential skills and experience:

    • Associates degree in drafting
    • 2+ years of electrical system design experience
    • Exceptional AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design experience
    • Extensive experience with the following:
      • Producing various types of design deliverables for installers and electricians
      • Assisting engineers with initial design requirements
      • Conceptualizing plans and details to accurately convey electrical design requirements
    • Must be detail oriented, flexible, courteous, organized, and have good communication skills
    • Willing to travel to client facilities to perform walkdowns and attend meetings

    Valued but not required experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architecture
