  • Overview

    Sargent & Lundy's Construction Support Services Division currently has an opportunity for a Turnover Coordinator to support a variety of power plant projects. Project locations are in south Louisiana and Wyoming.

    Responsibilities

    In this position, you will act as the primary point of contact between Construction, Commissioning, and Facility Owners Organizations. Responsible for coordinating the transfer of care, custody, and control on a scoped package basis, between the Construction and Commissioning Groups, and the Commissioning Group and the Facility Owners Organization. You will schedule walkdowns, collect walkdown results for inclusion into the Master Deficiency List (Punchlist), maintain/update the Master Deficiency List, and coordinate the assembly of the documentation associated with the System Turnover Package.

     

    Other duties include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Audit the Construction Turnover Packages (CTO) for completeness and accuracy.
    • Coordinate system walkdowns with Construction, Commissioning and Owner personnel to database current through project completion.
    • Coordinate the Commissioning to Plant turnover process.
    • Coordinate the assembly of documentation from construction contractors and Commissioning Specialists in appropriate CTO and STP system packages as part of the turnover process.
    • Track and report status of system turnovers, component and system testing, system lineups, and Lock Out/Tag Out's.

    Qualifications

    Essential skills and experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. 
    • 15 or more years experience in start-up and commissioning in the power industry or other industrial related industries.
    • Willingness to work at project sites and relocate periodically.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
    • Project planning skills.
    • Leadership skills.
