Description

Sargent & Lundy LLC seeks Manager at its facility located at 1 AAA Drive, Suite 201, Hamilton, NJ  08691.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Manage and grow a project team consisting of engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new as well as existing high voltage substations.  Work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and implementing solutions to expand as well as modernize the electric grid.  Direct the team lead in the coordination of engineering and design from concept through detailed design execution, field support, as well as closeout.  Support overall account management and client engagement with peer-to-peer reporting, coordination, and conflict resolution.  Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.  Coordinate and execute facility studies for various RTO’s.  Coordinate systems design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, as well as client requirements.  Prepare reports and studies that present technical information in a clear and concise manner as well as meet client requirements and S&L formats.  Perform independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation.  Hybrid telecommuting permitted, 3 days per week in office

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, Electrical Engineer, or related occupation working with substations.  Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing design codes and standards, including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE, and ANSI to perform substation engineering and design; (2) Designing multi-disciplined solutions for utility high voltage substations in a project team environment including understanding electrical, civil, structural scopes of work, industry best practices, and design basis for conceptual development, selecting equipment and materials, and preparing construction packages; (3) Leading an engineering design team through all phases of project design; (4) Utilizing MISO facility studies and DPP process to assist clients in preparing interconnection applications and supporting utilities review of the generator’s applications; and (5) Managing Utility Transmission & Distribution Substation projects.

Compensation Range

$131,123 - $215,440.00
