We have a unique and exciting opportunity to grow our Consulting Group by adding a temporary full-time Engineering Consultant. 


In this position, you will have an opportunity to work for an industry leader who provides premier energy consulting to its clients.  This position will provide you with a great deal of client interface and execution of project work. The position is based in Chicago and you will interface with existing and future clients for consulting services. You will lead work associated with due diligence reviews including appraisals or power generation and related projects for financing, mergers and acquisitions, and owner’s engineer work.





This position requires someone who has a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline. MBA is preferred. Spanish and/or French language skills desirable.


In order to qualify, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

  • 10 or more years of experience in the power industry including experience with integrated resource planning, competitive power markets, dispatch modeling, utility planning, and/or transmission and distribution planning.
  • Experience leading and managing multiple small projects concurrently.
  • Experience with multiple power generation technologies (i.e., thermal, renewables, nuclear, etc.).
  • Experience with energy storage, energy efficiency, and demand side management, a plus.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Experience writing technical reports and proposals.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others.
  • Project planning and leadership skills.
