Responsibilities

This is a senior level professional engineering position that offers you a wide variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in nuclear/radiological engineering.

 

You will supervise radiological engineers and interface and work with project teams and with the client (both domestic and international) to ensure that all client requirements are met.

 

You will work on major engineering projects for upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants.  You will perform and supervise:

 

  • Radiological dose calculations
  • Shielding design calculations
  • Radiation source calculations

Additionally, you will have the opportunity to:

 

  • Travel to client offices or plant sites for critical project discussions in domestic, European, Asian, and/or Middle East locations
  • Perform site walk-downs to ensure client satisfaction
  • Address emergent issues and provide technical advice to clients
  • Provide guidance as a mentor to lesser experienced nuclear engineers
  • Develop business proposals

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

 

  • MS degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • A minimum of 10 years of nuclear/radiological experience in the electric power industry
  • Experience with the following computer programs: MCNP, RADTRAD, MicroShield, ORIGEN, and ARCON96
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • PE license preferred, but not required

US citizenship or US permanent resident status is required.
