Responsibilities

This senior level position offers you a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in Instrument and Controls Engineering.

 

You will lead a team of I&C engineers and interface with discipline engineers on the project team and well as with the client.  You will work on major engineering projects for upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants in the following areas:

 

  -Digital: PLC, DCS, Touchscreen displays, network switches and control systems

 

  -Functional requirement and procurement specifications for control systems

 

  -Process instrumentation replacement evaluation reports

 

  -Process instrumentation replacement modification packages

 

  -Mechatronics, control systems for pumps, valves, heat exchangers, steam turbines, and reactors to improve power plant functionality 

 

  -Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns to ensure the client satisfaction

 

  -Prepare or review setpoint margin calculations

 

  -Provide guidance as a mentor in the development of less experienced engineers

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering for process control systems.  Experience in design engineering for nuclear power plant control system is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • PE license preferred, but not required.
