Description

Sargent & Lundy LLC seeks Principal Energy Consultant Manager at its facility located at 77 W Wacker, Chicago, IL 60601

 

Support Technical Advisor (TA) and Owner’s Engineer (OE) assignments for international thermal generation projects. Engage in key TA and OE assignments that include: supporting a developer client or a consortium of multiple developers, preparing bid packages in response to an IPP tender and reviewing off taker’s RFP. Develop technical specifications to meet the RFP requirements to review EPC proposals and discuss optimal bid designs. Assist in technical clarifications with the off taker. Assist in handling queries from lenders. Support technical negotiations for execution of PPA, EPC and O&M contracts. Support a project owner in executing project construction and completion of Review EPC contract. Review engineering design deliverables submitted by EPC during the project construction and attend design review meetings. Engage with our Construction Management group to provide oversight during the construction and commissioning phase of Support in project performance test witnessing. Provide support in effectively coordinating with many of our Korean clients in the international thermal IPP generation business by leveraging extensive experiences in international IPP tenders. Engage in other projects in Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group such as: Independent Engineer (IE) technical due diligence engagements in support of project financing or asset sales/acquisition Power station operations and performance reviews. Perform technical studies for various entities in the energy and power industry.

 

Telecommuting: Hybrid (work from home 2 days a week).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field plus 10 years of experience as an Energy Consultant, Mechanical Engineer, or a related occupation within the power industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with:

  1. Providing energy consulting leadership and supervision.
  2. Moderating impact on client-project costs.
  3. Moderating operating unit results.
  4. Supporting a project owner in executing project construction and completion.
  5. Conducting technical studies for various entities in the energy and power industry.
  6. Providing technical advising and owner's engineering for EPC projects as well as IPP tenders and EPC contract reviews.
  7. Preparing bid packages in response to an IPP tender.

$122,221.00 - $215,440.00
