Description

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home.

 

This position will offer you the opportunity to assist Project Managers in managing project team(s) consisting of engineers, designers, estimators, controls and scheduling professionals involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing high voltage substations.

 

  • Support Project Managers with daily tasks and action items, including:
    • Review of invoices
    • Review of Expense Reports
    • Development of Meeting Minutes
    • Tracking deliverables, RFIs, and action items
    • Drafting of template-based documents
    • Client follow-up for pending tasks
    • Coordination with the project controls team
    • Coordination among Sargent & Lundy Project Managers
  • Support efforts to ensure projects are completed with high quality, on time performance, and within budget.
  • Collaborate with team members both locally and nationwide.
  • Prepare reports in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements and Sargent & Lundy formats.
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing both project support and overall account support.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Three or more years of experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support, engineer or management role
  • Computer Skills:
    • Working knowledge in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Access, and Outlook)
    • Emphasis on the advanced use of MS Excel in creating and maintaining detailed, interactive spreadsheets, workbooks, and databases
    • Experience with Power BI
  • Communication:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to interact and multitask with project team members, clients, and vendors of varying position levels
    • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English (Read, Speak, and Write)
  • Motivation:
    • Eager to cultivate program and project knowledge to make a valuable impact to the PMO team operation
    • Willing to engage with others to understand the PMO team and client needs
    • Have a self-motivated attitude
  • Detail-Oriented:
    • Committed to deliver high quality, accurate deliverables with attention to detail
  • Be organized, prioritize, and multitask across various projects
  • Experience in Project Management of Energy Projects

 

Valued but not required skills and experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program, a Bachelor of Business or related field, is highly valuable
  • PE license
  • PMP Certification and/or an advanced management/business degree or certification
  • Specific experience in Project Management of Utility Transmission and Substation projects
  • Construction and start-up experience a plus
  • Commissioning experience a plus
