Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead a team of talented staff members to ensure successful completion of engineering project deliverables to meet all technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations, including:
    • Conveying scope of work to team members
    • Controlling changes in scope  
    • Status and tracking progress of project scope/schedule/budget
    • Maintaining clear and consistent exchanges of information between client and team members
    • Leading routine status meetings both internal team members and client
    • Tracking and resolving open items and emergent project issues
    • Interface with the client managers, stakeholders, and implementing personnel to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction
  • Identify and follow up on client needs that may result in strategic business opportunities
  • Leverage good client relationships to develop follow-on work from existing clients
  • Assist in the development of project scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex modifications at nuclear power plants 
  • Assist in the Development of proposals for Engineering modifications at nuclear power plants

Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:

  • An Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey information to project team members and client
  • Ten or more years of experience in the design of engineering systems for nuclear power plants
  • Five or more years experience in leading an engineering design team through all phases of a project design
  • Experience with serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Detail oriented approach to work
  • Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear station
