Description

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in office and working remote from home. 

 

The Drafter position modifies complex drawing diagrams, layouts, and detailed drawings. This position interprets and incorporates engineering markups.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general drafting CAD-based mechanical and electrical drawings for O&G projects while expanding knowledge on the application of drafting principles
  • Work under general direction of discipline supervisor in accordance with specific instructions regarding project deadlines, priorities, and budget constraints
  • Utilize company and project drafting standards, adheres to plans and schedules
  • Perform the necessary fieldwork; pulling measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, etc.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members
  • Provide support to other drafters and project team members in order to ensure a complete and timely design deliverable

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, etc. acceptable)
  • Previous drafting and field experience NOT required
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, computer-aided design (CAD) and other job related software
  • Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving operational excellence; ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, internal and external customers
  • Ability to prioritize work flow, multitask, meet deadlines and remain flexible
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements

Valued, but not required:

  • Associate’s degree in drafting (or equivalent technical degree)
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/CADWorx 2020 and/or newer versions
  • Attention to detail, time management, consistency, accuracy, and organizational skills are essential
  • Able to travel as necessary for client meetings, job site visits, assist in data gathering, etc.
  • Must comply with Company and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) established safety policies and requirements

Salary Range

$45,000 - $51,000
