Description

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a full-time Software Librarian to join our Software Management team. The Software Librarian will help support S&L software management processes and systems as a self-motivated and organized employee in a fast-paced environment.

  • Update and maintain software contracts, licenses, product information.
  • Organize electronic and physical assets.
  • Assist in procurement of software utilizing usage reports and license expiration dates.
  • Assist in defining and creating reports for management.
  • Change management process for software
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors.
  • Assign software to users as requested.
  • Participate in internal audits of users and software.
  • Understand software upgrade cycles.
  • Knowledge of basic software and hardware asset management.
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our downtown Chicago office and 2 days working remotely from home. 

Qualifications

This position requires:

  • Associates degree or combination of relevant coursework and work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Access and familiarity with .csv bulk loading.
  • Software management best practices.
  • Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Business analyst skills related to licensing models and usage reporting.
  • Strong problem solving, collaboration and written/verbal communication skills, and desire to work closely within a team.
  • Close attention to detail.

Preferred experience with: 

  • Knowledge of asset management
  • Experience in quality assurance programs like ISO 9001
  • Familiarity with project tools such as Microsoft Project
  • Understanding of software lifecycle and software licensing models.
