Description

This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week.

  • Responsible for the oversight and technical direction of the mechanical effort on Oil & Gas projects including:
    • Compressor Stations
    • Meter Stations
    • Pump Stations
    • Pipeline Installation
    • Natural Gas Processing Plants
    • Central Gathering Facilities
    • CO2 Capture
  • Responsible for working directly with customers, interfacing with the commercial sales team, providing oversight and direction to others within the project team.
  • Ability to travel to support field work activities (including site commissioning).
  • Provide input/oversight of company standards.
  • Pipeline and/or facility design experience including:
    • API Spacing Guidelines
    • Piping Design Review
    • P&ID Development
    • Process/Hydraulic Calculations
    • Equipment Specification
    • Operational Reviews
    • PHA participation
    • Constructability Reviews
    • Schedule planning
    • HDD Bore Design
    • Corrosion Protection
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior staff on technical/design issues of mechanical engineering.
  • Review & preparation of technical memos, reports, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Review & preparation of technical proposals and presentations.
  • Review of piping isometrics to ensure they are constructible and comply with project specifications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate within project team to resolve project issues.
  • Work directly with Project Managers for successful execution of projects while maintaining an in-depth understanding of project scope, schedule & budget.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of direct engineering experience in the design of mechanical engineering systems for non-commercial, heavy industrial plants (power plant - essential, oil & gas, or chemical - valued), with a focus on integrated, detailed system design for new plants, modifications, or replacements; Experience must include the selection of equipment, piping materials, control philosophy, and the preparation of supporting calculations and specifications.
  • PE License preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of Mechanical Equipment and Piping systems.
  • 5+ years of Oil and Gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream.
  • Working knowledge of gas plants and gas processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/ASTM B31.4, B31.3 and B31.8 Standards.
  • Customer service oriented with passion for high customer satisfaction and achieving project execution excellence.
  • High attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior management, clients, and other disciplines.
  • Ability to analyze, define, and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow, multitask, meet deadlines, and remain flexible.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • This position may require occasional travel. 

Salary Range

 

$119,000 - $142,000
